Jeff Stoops started his career as a schoolteacher in central Indiana. To earn extra money he began driving trucks during the school breaks and eventually left teaching and began driving trucks full time.

Starting with 1 truck he eventually built one of the country's top 50 trucking companies with over 600 trucks. He eventually sold the company to Burlington Northern Railroad in 1984.

Jeff Stoops became a Freightliner dealer in 1987. As with his trucking company Jeff Stoops quickly built the Freightliner dealership. Thru his innovation and knowledge of the trucking industry he brought several items to the marketplace. He was one of the first dealers to offer 7 day a week and 24 hour a day service. As a result of these things Jeff Stoops and Stoops Freightliner was named the 1994 ATD Dealer of the Year for North America.

Jeff Stoops continued to grow the dealership and today is one of the largest dealers in North America with 6 locations located in Indiana and Ohio. We offer a complete line of Freightliner, Sprinter, Sterling and Western Star Products. In addition we also sell new and used trailers with Vanguard, Timpte, Transcraft and East Franchises.
